IPTV Systems
IPTV systems, which are widely used in hotels, are especially preferred in 5-star city hotels.
IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is the general name of the systems in which the TV broadcasts received from the satellite are distributed to the users over the network infrastructure.
In the IPTV system, the TV broadcasts to be watched in the hotel are received from satellite antennas by means of dish antennas. Although these satellites can be multiple, all satellite channels broadcasting encrypted or unencrypted can be distributed over the network system with IP Streamer devices . Also, interactive features are added to the IPTV system with the server placed in the system center, providing users with many services besides TV.
Customers/users access this content distributed over the network from their televisions via set top box (STB) receivers in their rooms. New generation hotel televisions (LG, Samsung) have internal STB and there is no need to use external STB.

– Instead of purchasing content by dialing the room number, families can prevent children from unintentional purchases with a special password.

SMATV(Headend) Systems
SMATV (Headend) systems are classical TV systems that are used in almost every hotel, have a lower investment cost than IPTV System and are built on coaxial infrastructure. Headend systems made until the last five years ago were installed as analog (PAL / BG). But the developments in TV broadcasting technology, the increase of Digital Platforms and satellite TV channels, the emergence of HD TV broadcasts, the production of television devices with large, wide screens; This has rendered the current analode headend system inadequate for the evolving needs.
Therefore, headend systems known as DVB-C (Digital Video Broadcasting Cable) made with QAM modulation technique and using digital broadcasting technology are preferred With this system;
– While the Analog Headend system distributes a maximum of 80 TV channels in RF band capacity in broadcast distribution, this number is approximately 300-400 TV channels depending on the digital central satellite systems (QAM) and selected satellite packages (transponders). can go around.
– Since the broadcasts in QAM systems are in digital format, there is no disintegration and distortion in the images, and it has become possible to watch HD (High resolution) broadcasts with QAM systems.
– Also in terms of space requirement; It also provides space (volume) savings compared to old-style analog (modulator + receiver) systems.
– With the developing technology, it has become very easy to distribute Headend broadcasts over long distances over the fiber optic backbone.
– In addition, encrypted platform broadcasts, can be easily decoded and distributed over QAM transmodulators with the Card-module obtained from the relevant platform.
